PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Boston University men's crew began the 2008 spring season competing for the Michalson Cup with Brown on Saturday, April 5 on the Seekonk River. The Terriers raced the Bears for the cup for the 29th time.

In the varsity race, Brown got off the start very quickly and kept up the pace to out-distance BU. The second varsity and freshman eights fared slightly better, staying close with the Bears through the first 750m.

The Terriers hope to bounce back with a win over Northeastern on Saturday, April 12 on the Charles River. Last season the Terriers earned the Arlett Cup for the first time in six years.
