BOSTON - The Boston Unversity wrestling team fell, 19-12, to East Stroudsburg in its final home dual of the season on Sunday afternoon at Case Gym. Junior Abbie Rush (141), sophomore John Hall (197) and freshmen Ryan Dowd (125) and Hunter Meys (174) all picked up victories for the Terriers, who fall to 6-7-1 on the year.
Dowd opened the match with a hard-fought 8-6 victory over David Luthy at 125 before sophomore Alex Cournoyer dropped a 10-2 major decision at 133. Rush gave the Terriers the lead back with a 13-7 decision over Matthew Rizzo at 141, but the Warriors reeled off three consecutive victories to take the lead back for good.
Meys posted a 10-3 victory at 174 over Jeff Jacobs, while Hall earned a 3-2 riding-time victory against Shane Mallory at 197.
The Terriers will return to action on Friday (Feb. 20) when they visit Rider for their final CAA dual of the season. The match will start at 7 p.m.
