STORRS, Conn. - The Boston University men's tennis team opened the season at the UConn Invitational this past weekend and received a standout doubles performance from senior Jeff Chudacoff and freshman Josh Friedman. The new teammates captured the Flight 'B' title together with a 8-5 win in the final against Bryant. Other school participants included Bucknell, Sacred Heart, Quinnipiac, Holy Cross, Fairfield and Hartford.
The Terriers competed in both doubles and singles competition during the two day event. Chudacoff and Friedman started the competition with an 8-4 victory over Quinnipiac's Hughes/Feldman and followed with an 8-5 win against Bucknell's Morque/Katten before facing Bryant's Gradiner/Nowak for the title.
BU will next host Siena on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 12 p.m.
