Swimming and Diving Sweeps Dartmouth

Hanover, N.H. - The Boston University swimming and diving program swept Dartmouth on Sunday (Jan. 10), as the women's team won by a commanding 154-88 advantage, while the men took down the Big Green, 131-112.

The women's 200-medley relay team opened with a commanding victory where it won by over four seconds with a time of 1:47.47. Kara Zebrowski swam the lead off leg, followed by Kristen Connors, Emily Munday and Maria McIntyre.

Brigette O'Shaughnessy led a 1-2-3 sweep in the 200 free with a time of 1:55.03. In second place was Sarah Doersam (1:56.35) and Zebrowski followed in third (1:58.01). Kirsten Tullis and McIntyre kept the momentum in the Terriers' favor as the duo took first and second in the 50 free with respective times of 23.77 and 24.05.

Amanda Schmitz picked the Terriers' third individual victory with a winning time of 2:10.23 in the 200 IM. Munday kept the winning streak alive in the 200 fly (2:06.89) and Lauren Drake was victorious in the 100 free. 53.95.

Megan Happ, Sarah Doersam and Clara Van Allen recorded the Terriers second sweep of the podium, this time in the 500 free. Happ just out-touched Doersam with a time of 5:10.17. Doersam followed in 5:10.32 and Van Allen finished in 5:14.68.

The Terriers' third and final sweep of the podium came in the 200 breaststroke as Connors, O'Shaughnessy and Tullis went 1-2-3. The 400-free relay closed out the meet with another commanding win. The quartet of Zebrowski, Drake, Munday and McIntyre won in 3:33.61.
