Freshman Caitlynn Moran of the women’s basketball team has been named the GoTerriers.com Student Athlete of the Week after her team competed in three games over a seven-day span.

Moran played a huge role in one of BU’s biggest wins in program history, leading the team with 21 points, including two clutch free throws in the final eight seconds, in a 68-67 win over South Carolina in the first round of the St. Joseph’s Hawk Classic. The freshman also added seven assists and was the only player on either team to play all 40 minutes. The win marks just the second time in program history that the Terriers have taken down an SEC school.

Moran added 14 points and three steals against St. Joseph’s in the finals of the tournament and posted five assists in a 69-61 loss to B.C. on Sunday.
