BOSTON - The Boston University wrestling team hosted Drexel for a Colonial Athletic Association dual on Saturday with the Dragons coming away with a 31-9 victory. Freshman Kyle Czarnecki (165), junior Brock Mantella (197) and senior Abbie Rush (141) all picked up individual wins on the day for the Terriers, who fall to 3-13-1 on the year.

The match opened at 149, where BU freshman Nestor Taffur put up a tough battle against Drexel's Brett McCurdy before dropping a 7-5 decision in the first sudden-victory period.

The Dragons recorded a major decision at 157 before Czarnecki nearly did the same in an 8-1 win over Alex Rinaldi at 165 to make it a 7-3 match in Drexel's favor.

Drexel, which earned 12 of its points through forfeits at 184 and 133, pulled away when Dave Woodall won by fall at 174.

Mantella registed a 4-0 shutout victory against Jack Callender at 197 and Rush closed the match with an 11-4 win over Shane Fennighham to earn his third victory of the weekend.

BU will take a two-week break from its schedule before closing out its regular season with a pair of home duals against Rider and American International on Saturday, Feb. 20.
