Sophomore Amanda Schmitz has been named the 2010 Most Outstanding Player for the Boston University women's swimmers following an impressive campaign, which she topped off with record-breaking swims at the 2010 America East Championships.
Schmitz won three individual races back in February at the conference championships, beginning with the 500 free, as she clocked in at 4:54.05 - breaking her first school record of the weekend. She continued to make waves with a conference and school record in the 400 IM and she closed out four-day event with another school record - this time in the 200 fly.
