Men's Tennis Falls to Gonzaga, 6-1

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Playing its fourth match of the week, the Boston University men's team dropped a 6-1 decision to Gonzaga to conclude the Spring Break trip to California.

The Bulldogs swept through doubles and won five of the six singles contests to improve to 7-6 on the season.

Freshman Emilio Teran led the Terriers (1-11) by rallying from a set down to pull out a 6-7(4), 6-1, 10-1 victory in the No. 4 singles slot. Junior Alex Hallenebck tried to accomplish the same feat but fell in the second set tiebreaker for a 6-2, 7-6(1) loss at No. 5.

BU will next return to the Northeast and play at Quinnipiac on Thursday, March 22, with action slated to begin at 3 p.m.
