For the third consecutive season, Melinda Matyas has been named the Most Valuable Player of the Boston University women’s diving team.

Matyas capped off her junior season by claiming her third straight America East Diver of the Meet award after sweeping the 1-meter (277.85) and 3-meter (280.30) events at the America East Championships in February. She then went on to compete at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championship, where she placed 17th on the 3-meter board (496.20) and 35th on the1-meter board (207.25).

The Budapest, Hungary, native went undefeated from the 3-meter board during the regular season while posting a trio of first place finishes and a second place showing from the 1-meter board.
