
Grzelcyk, O'Regan Named to Hockey East All-Rookie Team

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Freshmen Matt Grzelcyk and Danny O'Regan of the Boston University men's ice hockey team have been named to the 2013 Hockey East Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team, as announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Terriers were the only team with two players on the six-member squad as Northeasten's Kevin Roy, Boston College's Michael Matheson, UMass Lowell's Connor Hellebuyck and Providence's Jon Gillies rounded out the team.
O'Regan has a team-high 36 points (14g, 22a) this season and he led all Hockey East rookies in scoring during league play with 27 points (9g, 18a). He is attempting to become the first freshman to lead BU in scoring since Tony Amonte in the 1989-90 season.
Grzelcyk ranks tied for sixth on the team in points with 22 (3g, 19a) and he is second among Hockey East defensemen in assists. He ranks fourth in the country amongst freshman defensemen in points and is third among Hockey East d-men in points and fifth among league rookies.
