After leading the Boston University men's soccer team to a pair of wins with a combined three assists, senior midfielder Anthony Ciccone has been named GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
The Sparta, N.J., native used a cross to set up the game-winning goal against 2012 CAA runner-up Hofstra (2-1) and then followed up with two assists in Saturday's 3-0 victory over MAAC preseason favorite Monmouth.
The first helper against the Hawks came by way of a beautiful corner kick that was headed into the goal by sophomore Jeroen Blugh. He later flicked the ball with his back foot past a defender to set up sophomore Lucas McBride for another score.
A member of the preseason Patriot League All-Conference team, Ciccone now has three assists through four games after leading the Terriers with eight total last season in 18 appearances.
