HANOVER, N.H. - Led by junior Emily Tillo's two-under 70, the Boston University golf team is in first place after the Terriers posted a record-setting round on the first day of the Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the Hanover Country Club.

The Terriers combined to card a 291, which is seven shots better than their previous record of 298, set at the opening round of last year's Dartmouth Invitational. BU holds a 17-shot lead over second-place Boston College (308) entering Sunday's final day. The Terriers battled rainy conditions on Saturday to complete their record round.

Tillo will enter Sunday's final round atop the leaderboard thanks to her round of 70, which matched her collegiate-best score; she also shot 70 last year at Dartmouth. Sophomore Adela Cejnarova finished her day at even par after an opening-round 72; she is tied for second. Seniors Kristyna Pavlickova and Flor Canedo also had strong days, with Canedo carding a 74 and Pavlickova totaling a 75. Freshman Phyllis Tang was terrific in her collegiate debut, firing a 76. All five players are in the top 10 entering Sunday, with Canedo tied for fourth, Pavlickova tied for sixth and Tang tied for eighth. Junior Maddy Silverman competed as an individual and fired an 82.

BU will look to earn its first victory since April of 2013 when the team concludes the final round on Sunday.
