GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Boston University golf team competed at the Forest Oaks Fall Classic hosted by UNC Greensboro this past weekend.

The event was scheduled for 54 holes over three days, but the field was only able to play one rain-soaked round on Friday before continued precipitation and high winds forced the postponement of the rest of the weekend.

BU finished fifth as a team with a score of 309, seven shots behind fourth-place James Madison and eight strokes behind UNC Greensboro. Winthrop won the event with a 296.

Junior Adela Cejnarova placed seventh thanks to a 74, while sophomore Phyllis Tang tied for eighth with a 75. Freshman Megan Carter and senior Emily Tillo each tied for 31st with an 80. Senior Maddy Silverman carded an 84 in the difficult conditions.

BU will be back on the course next weekend at the three-day Yale Intercollegiate that begins on Friday, Oct. 9.
