WEST POINT, N.Y. - Sophomore Mario Sandoval led the Boston University men's tennis team with a singles win, as the Terriers dropped a 6-1 decision at defending Patriot League champion Army on Saturday afternoon.

After sweeping through doubles for the first point, the Black Knights (13-8, 4-0 PL) won five singles points, including three in straight sets, to defeat the Terriers (2-6, 1-1 PL).

Sandoval rallied from a set down to defeat Austin McCasin at No. 4 singles, 4-6, 7-6, 10-7. Fellow sophomore Jake De Vries tried to mount a similar rally but came up just short in the No. 5 slot to Caison Best, 4-6, 7-6, 10-6.

Sophomore Lucas Bombonatti also had a tough singles match, dropping a close 7-5, 6-4 decision to Harrison McCormick at No. 6.

BU will remain on the road and next visit Lafayette on Sunday (March 29) at 10 a.m.
