WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Junior Emily Tillo tied for 10th individually to help lead the Boston University golf team to a sixth-place finish at the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary on March 30-31 at the Plantation Course at Kingsmill.

BU was just three strokes behind fifth-place Rutgers, turning in a two-day total of 959 (323-318-318). The Terriers were the top Patriot League squad in the 16-team field, two shots better than seventh-place Navy. They also finished ahead of Richmond (963), Lehigh (978) and defending champion Bucknell (1022).

Tillo overcame an opening-round 82 and finished the 54-hole tournament with an even-par 72 on Tuesday to tie for 10th individually with a 230 (82-76-72). She has been terrific this spring and has carded an 80 or better in seven of her last eight rounds.

Sophomore Adela Cejnarova was consistent over Monday and Tuesday, finishing each round with a 78 to tie for 18th. Freshman Phyllis Tang tied for 34th with a 242 (80-81-81) while seniors Kristyna Pavlickova and Flor Canedo also competing for BU.

The Terriers will return to the course on April 11 against Brown before competing against the host Bears as part of the Battle at the Bay on April 12-13 in Providence, Rhode Island.
