PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Facing its second consecutive ranked opponent on the road, the Boston University men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision at No. 49 Brown on Saturday afternoon.

The Bears (9-2) won two of the three doubles contests for the first point and then captured all six singles points in straight sets, as the Terriers fell to 2-2.

Sophomores Jake De Vries and Jay Leelavanich led BU in doubles by posting a 7-6 victory in the No. 3 slot. De Vries tried to carry the momentum into singles, but came up just short at No. 5 to Jack Haworth, 6-4, 6-4.

BU will next fly south to the state of Florida for three neutral matches. The Terriers will first face Northern Illinois in Boca Raton on Tuesday (March 10) at 11 a.m.
