HANOVER, N.H. - Led by junior Adela Cejnarova's second-place performance, the Boston University golf team finished third at the Dartmouth Invitational this past weekend at Hanover Country Club.
Cejnarova fired a one-under 71 on Sunday to finish at even par, one stroke behind the winner. The junior shot 73 in Saturday's opening round to total 144 over 36 holes.
BU was in second after Saturday after a 303, and was edged for the runner-up position by Hartford after Sunday. The Terriers combined for a 617, one stroke behind the Hawks but 11 shots ahead of the fourth-place team.
Sophomore Phyllis Tang took 11th with a 154 (74-80), followed by seniors Maddy Silverman (76-85--161) and Emily Tillo (83-80--163). Freshman Megan Carter also carded a 163 (80-83), while Sarah Easton (90-87--177) also competed.
The Terriers will be back in action next weekend at the 54-hole Forest Oaks Fall Classic hosted by UNC Greensboro (Oct. 2-4).
