- Sophomore Bobo Carpenter opened the scoring just 3:17 into the contest, taking advantage of a wide-open net on a power play with assists going to freshmen Kieffer Bellows and Chad Krys.
- The Catamounts answered with two goals before the first intermission, including a power-play goal from Matt O'Donnell with 48 seconds left in the opening frame.
- Harper's game-tying goal came from the right circle after the puck squirted out following a shot by freshman Clayton Keller and a tip-in attempt by sophomore Jordan Greenway.
- Following a scuffle in front of the UVM bench at 4:49 of the third, BU was given its fourth power-play opportunity of the night, but was unable to convert.
- Forgione's go-ahead goal came less than a minute after that power play expired and Ross Colton sealed the win for the Catamounts with an empty-netter at 18:55 of the third.
