NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Boston University golf team took second at the Yale Spring Tri-Match on Sunday at the Course at Yale.
BU combined for a 304, four strokes behind first-place Yale (300). Quinnipiac was a distant third with a 323. It is the final competitive round before next weekend's Patriot League Championship.
"Expectations are high as we are charging toward the Patriot League Championship at Bucknell this weekend," head coach Bruce Chalas said.
Sophomore Phyllis Tang led the Terriers with a 73 thanks to a three-under 33 on the back nine, which is a personal-best. Tang also totaled a career-high five birdies.
Freshman Megan Carter also had a career round, shooting a collegiate-low 75 on Sunday. Senior Emily Tillo totaled a 77, followed by classmates Maddy Silverman (79), Sarah Easton (84) and Kaelyn Hilliard (104). Hilliard made her final collegiate appearance on Sunday.
The Terriers will look to defend their conference title next weekend at the PL Championship, which begins with 36 holes on Saturday, April 23.
