BEALLSVILLE, Md. - The Boston University golf team continued its spring season on April 4 and 5 at the Hoya Invitational hosted by Georgetown at the Four Streams Golf Club.
BU finished seventh with a 54-hole total of 999 (322-335-342). The Terriers' best round came during the first 18 holes on Monday when they combined for a 322. Driving wind and rain hampered the players in the afternoon session on Monday, and scores were also high for a majority of players on Tuesday due to tough conditions.
Sophomore Phyllis Tang was tied for second after an opening-round 75 and finished tied for 15th with a score of 242 (75-83-84). Senior Maddy Silverman was next best with her second straight top-30 performance, carding a 252 (87-82-83). Classmate Emily Tillo was two strokes back of Silverman with a 254 (81-86-87), followed by freshman Megan Carter (83-84-88--255) and senior Sarah Easton (83-94-92--269).
The Terriers will be back on the course this weekend at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, hosted by Bowling Green on April 9 and 10.
