CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Senior captain Rebecca Leslie recorded a goal and an assist to help the Boston University women's ice hockey team earn a 2-2 tie at No. 2 Boston College on Friday afternoon at Conte Forum.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Leslie gave BU a 1-0 lead with 1:01 remaining in the opening frame. Senior Victoria Bach began the sequence by chipping the puck to sophomore Deziray De Sousa, who then fed it to Leslie. - BC answered with a power-play goal 58 seconds into the second stanza.
- Senior Nina Rodgers regained the lead for BU just 30 seconds into the final frame. With the Terriers on a power play, Leslie fed sophomore Abby Cook at the top of the zone. Burt saved Cook's shot, but the rebound bounced off Burt and right to Rodgers at the left post for the put-back.
- The Eagles countered with a Toni Ann Miano goal at the 9:28 mark to even the score.
