The Terriers are currently on a three-game unbeaten streak and are five games into a stretch of eight straight Hockey East contests. Most recently, BU earned a 3-2 overtime win on the road against New Hampshire after taking three of four points in a home-and-home series with Northeastern the previous week.
In last year's series, BU took just one of three games against the Black Bears. After a 5-2 loss in Orono on Nov. 17, BU rebounded with a 7-0 shutout victory in Portland the following night. The rubber match took place in Boston on Jan. 6 with Maine posting a 3-0 win.
