The Boston University men's lacrosse team will conclude a brief two-game road trip on Saturday when the Terriers face off against Air Force. Game time is set for 3 p.m. ET, 1 p.m. MT.

LOOKING BACK AT LAST YEAR

  • The Terriers hosted the Falcons last year on a frigid day at Nickerson Field, with BU earning an 8-6 win.
  • Air Force held a 2-0 lead after the first quarter, but BU scored seven straight goals to take a 7-2 advantage into the fourth frame.
  • Air Force got within two at 7-5 halfway through the final quarter, but that's as close as it got.
  • Jack Wilson led BU with four points (2g, 2a) while Ryan Hilburn paced BU with three goals
  • Wilson (2) and Hilburn (3) also combined for five ground balls.
  • The Terriers caused nine of the Falcons' 15 turnovers, with Drew Lukacs forcing two of those Air Force giveaways.

LONG WAY FROM HOME

  • Saturday marks the first time the Terriers have played a game west of the Mississippi River.
  • Previously, the furthest from home that they had played was at Ohio State back in February.

SCOUTING THE FALCONS

  • Air Force fell to 1-3 after an 8-7 home loss to Cleveland State on Saturday.
  • The Falcons' lone win came on Feb. 17 at Marist, an 8-7 decision.
  • They lost their first two games to top-five foes Duke and Denver.
  • Nick Hruby, who scored four of the Falcons' six goals against BU last year, leads Air Force with eight goals and nine points this season.
  • Jack Flynn is next best with four goals and is tied with Roman Rohrbach (3g, 2a) with five points.
  • Trent Harper is 48-of-80 (.600) at the faceoff X and leads Air Force with 24 ground balls.
  • Goalkeepers Braden Host (1-1) and Noah Schwab (0-2) have each played three games, with Schwab leading in save percentage (.466) and Host holding the top goals-against average (7.66).

THRILLING WIN AT BRYANT

  • Sophomore John MacLean tied the game, 7-7, with 2:07 remaining in regulation and then ripped home the winner just 27 seconds into overtime to lift BU to a dramatic 8-7 win at Bryant on Tuesday.
  • MacLean matched his career high with four goals while freshman Chris Gray, who assisted on MacLean's last two goals, posted a career-best four assists.
  • Junior James Burr tallied two goals while senior Jack Wilson (1g, 2a) finished with three points.
  • Senior Ryan Hilburn also found the back of the net.
  • Sophomore Joe McSorley matched his career high with 13 saves, including six in the second half.
  • Senior Isaac Lipton recorded a team-high five ground balls and was one of three Terriers (Malcolm Glendinning, Brian Badgett) to cause two turnovers.
  • Freshman Sean Christman won three faceoffs, including the opening draw of overtime, and also secured the crucial ground ball that set up the Terriers' final possession of the contest.

WILSON ON TEWAARATON WATCH LIST

  • Senior Jack Wilson was one of 50 men named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List on Thursday night.
  • Wilson is the third Terrier to appear on the watch list, with Cal Dearth making the cut last year and Sam Talkow earning the accolade in 2016.
  • Wilson has started every game at attack this year and has scored eight goals and five assists for 13 points.
  • He has notched at least two points in all five games this year, including a trio of three-point efforts.

LIPTON WITH ANOTHER GREAT DAY

  • Senior Isaac Lipton has been terrific at close defense over the last two tilts.
  • He set a new career high with five ground balls and also caused two turnovers at Bryant on Tuesday.
  • Against Navy, Lipton forced five turnovers and added four ground balls.
  • Lipton has notched 17 ground balls and caused eight turnovers through the Terriers' first five games.

MCSORLEY MAKING STOPS

  • Sophomore Joe McSorley leads the Patriot League in both save percentage (.570) and saves per game (12.2)
  • He ranks ninth in the NCAA in save percentage and 10th in the country in saves per game.
  • McSorley matched his career high with 13 saves on Tuesday against Bryant.
  • He previously had 13 saves (as well as a career-high six ground balls) at Ohio State.
