  • The Crimson grabbed a 4-1 lead with 3:06 left in the quarter, but the Terriers immediately responded to begin a crucial run of scoring.
  • Freshman Sean Christman won the ensuing faceoff and fed Gray for a goal just six seconds after the Crimson scored. For Christman, that was his first collegiate assist.
  • That Gray marker began a 5-0 run for the Terriers, which included a buzzer-beating goal from senior Ryan Hilburn.
  • Harvard eventually tied the game, 7-7, but BU regained a two-goal edge when senior Hayden Ruiz beat the buzzer with 1.4 seconds left in the half.
  • The Crimson struck first in the third quarter to make it a 9-8 Terrier lead.
  • BU rattled off six of the next seven goals, however, to stake itself a 15-9 advantage.
  • Harvard hung tough, and after the Terriers held an 18-12 lead halfway through the final quarter, the Crimson tied the score with less than a minute to play.
  • BU won the next draw but was unable to convert on the final possession of regulation.
  • The Crimson then won the opening faceoff of overtime to set up its game-winning goal.
