PRINCETON, N.J. – Despite senior Mike Bernardi recording an NCAA season-high 14 saves, the Boston University men's soccer team fell at Princeton, 1-0, on Saturday evening.
The Tigers (3-3-0) converted on a corner kick and limited the Terriers (1-3-2) to just two shots on net to claim their third victory in four games.

- Princeton jumped on the attack quickly, forcing Bernardi to make five saves within the first 10 minutes of action.
- The Tigers were held to just three shots during the final 23 minutes, as the teams entered the locker room scoreless.
- BU tried to grab the lead two minutes into the second half with a corner kick, but Princeton managed to get the clear.
- Following Bernardi's 12th save at 60:04, the Tigers earned their lone corner of the half and eventually scored off the foot of Jeremy Colvin.
- The Terriers made a final push in the final three minutes with a free kick near midfield and an eventual corner kick but were unable to attempt a shot.
- Bernardi's 14 saves are the most by a Patriot League goalkeeper since 2011 and five shy of the conference record set in both 1993 and 2000.
- Bernardi's previous high as a Terrier was six set last season against American.
- BU was without the services of leading scorer Matt McDonnell (six goals) and assists compiler Toti Knutsson (three assists) due to injury.
