BOSTON – Despite shooting over 60 percent from the field in the second half, the Boston University men's basketball team fell short to Army West Point, 86-82, on Wednesday night at Case Gym.
The Black Knights (7-9, 2-1 PL) finished the game 10-of-20 from behind the arc after missing five of their first six attempts to hold off the Terriers (8-8, 1-2 PL), who rallied from a nine-point deficit to briefly take the lead at 11:35 (51-50). Jordan Fox flushed three of his six 3-pointers down the stretch for a season-high 24 points, while Tommy Funk added 16 points and six assists. Junior
Tyler Scanlon nearly had a triple-double for BU with eight points, eight rebounds and seven assists, but the real offensive production came from the bench, as freshman
Jonas Harper (15 pts.), sophomore
Andrew Petcash (12 pts.) and freshman
Jack Hemphill (10 pts.) all reached double figures.

- BU tried to mount another rally with the help of 3-pointers by Petcash at 1:01 (79-75) and Harper at 41 seconds (81-78).
- Freshman Garrett Pascoe and Scanlon both cut the deficit to two inside the arc at 26s (82-80) and 9s (84-82), but Emezie and Funk hit two free throws apiece to seal the win.

- Facing a five-point deficit (47-42) with 14:21 left, Harper drained a 3-pointer and was followed by Scanlon's layup, but Fox came out of Army's timeout with a 3-pointer to pull back ahead, 50-47.
