DURHAM, N.H. - Returning to the road a day after its home opener, the No. 10 Boston University women's hockey team netted the opening goal, but New Hampshire reeled off the next three en route to handing BU a 4-2 defeat Saturday afternoon at the Whittemore Center.

Kate Stuart made her first start of the season in net, finishing with a career-best 43 saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- BU capitalized just 12 seconds into its first power-play chance to take a 1-0 lead 5:58 into the opening period. After Elia won a battle along the half-wall, Davis grabbed the puck and dished it to Cook. The senior defender gave it right back to Davis and then one-timed the return feed past Ava Boutilier for her first goal of the season.
- New Hampshire (3-1-2, 2-0-0 HEAW) delivered the equalizer with just over five minutes left in the opening period.
- The Wildcats stayed red-hot on the attack to start the second frame, notching two goals within the first seven minutes of action to pull ahead, 3-1.
- BU would come within one 15:46 into the period as Davis slotted in her third goal of the season. Elia wristed a shot from just outside the crease that was blocked before Correia's follow-up was stuffed by the Wildcat keeper. From there, Davis swooped in for the finish, making it a 3-2 game heading into the final 20 minutes of play.
- However, the Terriers would could not find the back of the net in the third period despite firing 13 shots on goal. UNH worked the power play in its favor to tack on an insurance score 6:46 into the frame.
GAME NOTES
- BU outshot the Wildcats, 13-10. in the third period, though UNH held a 47-29 overall advantage for the game.
- Davis has produced at least one point in all three games this season.
- The Wildcats picked up their first win against the Terriers in 10 tries.
