BOSTON - The Boston University field hockey team will close out its home schedule on Sunday (Oct. 27) when it hosts Massachusetts at New Balance Field. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
The Terriers (5-10) are coming off a thrilling road win at Holy Cross to stay alive in the hunt for a Patriot League tournament berth. BU erased three one-goal deficits on Saturday en route to a 5-4 victory.
UMass (8-7) has won four straight games - all in Atlantic 10 play - and is currently tied for second in the conference standings. The Minutewomen last played on Friday, earning a 2-1 home win over La Salle.
The Minutewomen are paced by junior Lucy Cooper, who has 15 points on five goals and five assists. Junior Georgie McTear (4g, 4a) and freshman Jess Beach (5g, 2a) have added 12 points apiece while freshman Bella Ianni has four goals.
Junior Marlise van Tonder has played the majority of time in goal with 11 starts and currently has a 1.33 goals-against average to go along with a .769 save percentage.

Ailsa Connolly scored two goals in Saturday's win at Holy Cross to secure her third straight 20-point season with eight goals and four assists on the year. Freshman
Jodie Conolly provided the late heroics against the Crusaders, scoring her third goal of the contest with just over five minutes left. The rookie now has 17 points with seven goals and three assists.

Caroline Kelly has started two-thirds of the season in goal with a 2.57 goals-against average and a .674 save percentage. Senior
Livy Golini has similar numbers (2.63, .676) in her seven games, including five starts.
BU holds a slim 19-18-2 advantage in its series with UMass but the Minutewomen have won the past four meetings, most recently earning a 2-1 win in Amherst in 2017.
