BOSTON - The Boston University field hockey team will attempt to reverse its recent misfortunes on Sunday when it hosts Penn in the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
The Terriers (3-6) have dropped their last five contests with two requiring extra time, including Saturday's 3-2 double-overtime defeat against Cornell.Â
Penn (2-6) fell at No. 19 Harvard on Saturday by a score of 6-2. That result came on the heels of wins over Temple and Cornell.
Sophomores Madison Jiranek (4g), Maddy Fagan (3g, 1a) and Gracyn Banks (1g, 3a) lead the Quakers with eight, seven and five points, respectively, while three others have four points apiece.
Senior Ava Rosati has played all eight games in goal for the Quakers and has a 3.33 goals-against average to go along with a .600 save percentage.

Jodie Conolly's goal that opened the scoring before adding a goal of her own in the third quarter that ended up sending the game to overtime.
Connolly leads the Terriers in both goals (6) and assists (3) for 15 points while Conolly has eight points on the year on three goals and two assists.Â
