BOSTON - The Boston University women's openweight and lightweight rowing teams concluded their fall seasons on Saturday by competing in the Foot of the Charles Regatta. The day was highlighted by a third-place finish by the openweight varsity 8 boat and a fourth-place finish by the lightweight V8 boat competing against both openweight and lightweight competition.

The openweight V8 finished third in a field of 16 with a time of 13:24.37, finishing behind only the V8 openweight boat from Harvard (1st -  12:55.6) and Northeastern (2nd - 13:20.4). The lightweight V8 finished fourth overall and first among lightweights with a time of 13:24.40, just .3 seconds behind the BU openweight V8 and ahead of the Harvard lightweight A boat (5th - 13:33.0)

The lightweight varsity 4 A finished second in its race (and first among lightweights) with a time of 15:54.4 in a field of 7 boats, just behind race winner Northeastern (15:48.51). The Terriers' openweight varsity 4 finished sixth with a time of 16:50.8.

Novice 8
In the novice 8 competition, the BU openweight "A" boat finished third with a time of 15:36.8 ahead of the Dartmouth B boat (15:41.6).

Saturday's racing marked the conclusion of both teams' fall season. The Terriers will begin off season training and resume live competition next March.
