MIAMI, Fla. – Continuing the spring break trip to Florida, the Boston University women's tennis team posted a 4-0 win over defending Big Sky champion Idaho on Tuesday afternoon at the FIU Tennis Complex.
The Terriers (5-5) won two doubles matches and claimed three singles points, including two in straight sets, to defeat the Vandals (8-5).
HOW IT HAPPENED

- Senior Remi Ramos and sophomore Lily Burchell clinched the doubles point with an impressive 6-3 win against First Team All-Big Sky Doubles honorees Marianna Petrei and Maria Tavares.
- Burchell carried over the momentum to a dominating 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles, while sophomore Katya Martens earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory in the No. 5 slot to clinch the team win.
- Ramos was leading, 6-4, 4-4 at line 1 when her match was halted against Petrei, who finished last season ranked No. 32 after advancing to the Round of 32 at the 2018 NCAA Singles Tournament.
- Sophomore Emily rallied to force a third set, 4-6, 6-1, at line 3 when her match was halted as well.
