BOSTON
- A pair of ECAC Hockey standouts will join the Boston University men's ice hockey team as graduate transfers for the 2019-20 season, head coach Albie O'Connell announced on Wednesday.

Alex Brink, a forward from Brown, and Sam Tucker, a goaltender from Yale, will bolster the Terrier squad for the upcoming season after competing against each other in ECAC and Ivy League play over the past four years. The two combined to earn seven ECAC.All-Academic Team honors.

"Alex and Sam will be outstanding additions to our team," said O'Connell. "We've had some success with ECAC grad transfers over the past two seasons and we will absolutely benefit from the experience these two have gained. They are great guys who will fill key roles for us while being impactful leaders for our young team."

Brink skated in 95 games for the Bears, totaling 28 points on 12 goals and 16 assists. Half of his points at Brown came this past year as a senior, when he finished second on the team with a rating of plus-7.

Tucker finished his Yale career with 2.88 goals-against average and .903 save percentage, which both rank sixth-best in the Bulldogs' record book. He recorded a career-best .917 save percentage last season as a senior.
