Men's Cross Country Places Program-Record 18 on PL Academic Honor Roll

January 30, 2020

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - A program-record 18 members of the Boston University men's cross country team were named to the 2019 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the conference announced on Tuesday.

This is the seventh straight year that at least 10 men's cross country athletes earned a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. This mark of 18 athletes on the honor roll eclipses the previous record of 15 that was set by the 2014 squad. The Terriers tied with Bucknell for the second-most student-athletes on this year's Academic Honor Roll.

To be eligible for the Fall Academic Honor Roll a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average (GPA) in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports, including men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.

For the second straight fall, sophomore Aksel Laudon garnered a 4.0 GPA as a biomedical engineering major. He joined senior Greg Pelose (marine science) as Terriers with a 4.0 in the fall.
