BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Freshman Alyssa Bourgeois of the Boston University women's soccer team has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference Wednesday.

Bourgeois was key in assisting BU's back line to a 1-0 shutout at Holy Cross on Saturday, The Maynard, Massachusetts native earned her second consecutive start and played in 67 minutes. The Terriers held the Crusaders without a shot in the first half and limited their rival to just four shots in the second half. The four shots were the lowest a team in the Patriot League has recorded this season.

BU will return to the road Saturday, March 27 for a 2 p.m. start at Lafayette.
