The Boston University men's lacrosse team will continue its 2021 schedule on Saturday when the Terriers hit the road to face No. 10/11 Army West Point. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.

BU and Army played a thriller on March 6 at Nickerson Field, with the Terriers falling just short to the Black Knights, 12-10. It was a one-goal game for much of the fourth quarter until Army closed the scoring with 1:02 remaining in regulation. The Terriers defeated Army, 15-13, in their last visit to Michie Stadium on April 6, 2019.

Saturday's game will play a role in deciding which team will win the Patriot League North Division. BU, which clinched a playoff spot with its 14-10 win at Colgate last weekend, can remain alive for that top spot with a win at West Point. If the Black Knights win, they will finish first in the North and BU will be locked into second place. Should BU win Saturday, the Terriers will need Colgate to defeat Army on May 1 to become division champions.

BU improved to 4-0 on the road this season with that win at Colgate on Saturday. The Terriers have averaged 14.5 goals per game away from home while only allowing 9.25 goals per game on the road. Part of that defensive success no matter where the Terriers play is because of their excellence on the ride and clear. BU is a top-10 team in the country in both categories, as BU owns the sixth-lowest opponent clearing percentage (.789) and the seventh-highest clearing percentage (.892) in the country.

Offensively, sophomore Louis Perfetto enters the weekend having turned in a career day on Saturday at Colgate. He tallied a career-best six points (4g, 2a) in the Terriers' 14-10 win. Perfetto has notched a point in all 14 games he has played in his brief BU career. He is currently second on the squad with 15 assists and is third in both goals (14) and points (29) this season.

Army West Point improved to 5-2 with a 14-7 win at Loyola Maryland on Saturday. Its two losses have been to top-10 squads in then-No. 6 Virginia and then-No. 10 Lehigh, both of which are still in the top 10.

Junior Brendan Nichtern leads Army in goals (19), assists (19) and points (38). He had six points (3g, 3a) at BU on March 6. Sophomore Stevie Grabher is 57-of-116 (.491) at the faceoff X and leads the Black Knights with 25 ground balls. Grabher went 16-for-27 with 12 ground balls in the BU game on March 6.

Junior Marcus Hudgins, the reigning PL Defensive Player of the Week, leads Army with 15 caused turnovers, five of which came against BU on March 6. Junior Wyatt Schupler, the reigning PL Goalkeeper of the Week, has started all seven games for Army, posting a 9.00 goals-against average and a .588 save percentage. He made 17 saves against at BU on March 6.
