Alex Gainey made 15 saves in his first collegiate start. Sophomore
Patrick Morrison had an outstanding game, as he collected a career-high five ground balls and recorded a career-best four caused turnovers. Sophomore
Roy Meyer had another excellent game at the LSM position, as he had three caused turnovers and four ground balls. Ellerton and junior
Matt Gardner each had three ground balls, with Gardner adding a caused turnover. Freshman
Dane DeGoler also forced a Brown giveaway.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- O'Hara opened the scoring just 1:22 into the contest when he converted a feed from Perfetto.
- Brown held a 4-1 lead after the first quarter, but Baugher's first goal of the night cut the deficit to 4-2 just under 2:00 into the second stanza.
- The Bears scored eight straight goals over the second and third quarters to take a 12-2 lead.
- BU outscored Brown, 3-0, over the final 15 minutes, with Jepson beginning the frame with his first goal following a nice ground ball pickup in front of goalkeeper Phil Goss (11 saves).
- Baugher and Dziama closed the scoring, with Dziama's marker coming on one of the Terriers' three man-up chances of the contest.
GAME NOTES
- Perfetto has notched a point in every game of his career, scoring 23 goals and adding 26 assists for 49 points.
- Baugher has scored nine goals over the last five games.
- Jepson is the fifth Terrier freshman to score their first collegiate goal this season.
- In total, 10 different players have scored their first goal as a Terrier in 2021.
- Korn and O'Hara both made their first start as a Terrier on Friday night.
- BU held Brown scoreless on the Bears' only EMO of the night.
- Freshman Harry Friedman won two faceoffs in his first game as a Terrier.
