BOSTON – Looking to carry momentum from a thrilling walk-off victory against Colgate, the Boston University softball team will host Army West Point in a four-game series starting Friday at 1 p.m. Saturday's doubleheader is slated to begin at 12 p.m.

The series was originally scheduled to begin April 10 but was pushed up a day to avoid potential rain issues on Sunday (April 11).

The Terriers are riding a 16-game win streak that ranks fourth in the nation and an NCAA-leading 27-game home win streak that dates back to the 2018 season. On Sunday, freshman Kayla Roncin delivered a two-out homer in the bottom of the seventh to send the fourth matchup with Colgate to extra innings before junior Nicole Amodio recorded the game-winning RBI single for the 5-4 victory.

Sophomore Caitlin Coker batted .538 in the series to earn her first Patriot League Player of the Week award and increase her season average to .382, which is second on the team behind senior Jen Horita (.438). Freshman Lauren Keleher (.333) leads BU with 16 runs scored, while junior Nicole Amodio (.317) owns a team-high 16 RBIs. Over the weekend, sophomore Audrey Sellers (.242) took the team lead in homers with her third one of the season. As a team, BU is batting .289 with a 30-3 lead in stolen bases and 39-20 advantage in extra-base hits.

In the circle, senior Ali DuBois (12-0, 0.49 ERA) has posted 72 strikeouts in 71.0 innings while holding opponents to a .144 batting average. She collected her fourth PL Pitcher of the Week award this season and her 13th overall on Tuesday after earning three wins along with a save against Colgate. Sophomore Allison Boaz (4-0, 1.35 ERA) and junior Emily Gant (1-1, 2.28 ERA) have combined for 35 strikeouts in 46.1 innings with Boaz posting three shutouts.

Army started conference play last weekend with a 2-2 split against Lehigh after going 1-2 at Saint Joseph's. The Black Knights also have a 16-4 win over Howard and 5-4 loss to Fordham, who is currently on a 17-game win streak. As a team, Army is hitting .254 with Taylor Drayton batting .450 (9-for-20) with seven RBIs and six runs scored. Megan Muffett (.250) has provided the power with three homers, three doubles and 11 RBIs, while Angelina Bebek (.370) has nine runs scored.

Allcyn Grete (2-2, 1.81 ERA) has gone the distance twice in five starts and owns an impressive 43 strikeouts in just 27 innings of work while holding opponents to .210. She posted 11 strikeouts in four innings against Fordham and most recently tallied seven strikeouts against Lehigh in a three-hit performance. Jolie Duong (2-0, 1.87 ERA) has 12 strikeouts in 18.2 innings.

BU is 15-10 all-time against Army in a series that dates back to 1990. The Terriers have won the last five meetings but in 2019, two of them were by an identical 2-1 decision and a third required BU to overcome an early grand slam.
