Women’s Soccer Travels To Loyola Maryland For Key PL Match

BOSTON – For the final time in the regular season, the Boston University women's soccer program hits the road, visiting Loyola Maryland on Saturday (Oct. 22). Opening kick is set for 2 p.m.
The Patriot League enters the final weekend of regular season action, with the season finale coming up on Wednesday (Oct. 26). BU has clinched a berth in the Patriot League Championship, and currently sits third in the standings with 15 points. The Greyhounds occupy fifth place heading into Saturday's match.

- The Greyhounds have won just once since Sept. 22 (1-2-2).
- Baylee DeSmit leads Loyola and the Patriot League with 16 points this season off five goals and six assists.
- Preseason Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year Paige Sim has played all but 25 minutes in goal this year, notching a 1.22 goals-against average and a .780 save percentage. Her eight shutouts paces the league.
- Loyola Maryland was projected to finish fourth in the Patriot League, behind BU, after reaching the quarterfinal round last season with a 5-1-3 PL record.
