BOSTON – For the final time in the regular season, the Boston University women's soccer program hits the road, visiting Loyola Maryland on Saturday (Oct. 22). Opening kick is set for 2 p.m.

The Patriot League enters the final weekend of regular season action, with the season finale coming up on Wednesday (Oct. 26). BU has clinched a berth in the Patriot League Championship, and currently sits third in the standings with 15 points. The Greyhounds occupy fifth place heading into Saturday's match.

TERRIER TIDBITS

The Terriers are coming off a 1-0 setback to Bucknell last Saturday (Oct. 15).
Goalkeepers Celia Braun and Gretchen Bennett each collected one save in the effort.
BU sits one points behind Bucknell and Army, who square off against each other on Saturday.
With a win, the Terriers would be guaranteed at least a top-three seed in the postseason tournament.
BU has won its last three road matches, and is 6-3 in away games this year.
A victory would give the Terriers their most road wins in a season since 1999.
Sophomore Morgan Fagan is tied for second in the Patriot League with five goals. Redshirt senior Amy Thompson is tied for fifth with four scores.
Junior Abigail McNulty has a share of fourth place in the PL with four assists.
During PL action, Braun is third in the league with a 0.75 goals-against average.
BU's 6.69 corner kicks per game ranks 23rd in the nation as of Thursday (Oct. 20).

SCOUTING LOYOLA MARYLAND

Loyola Maryland is 3-2-2 against league foes and 6-5-4 overall, most recently suffering a 4-2 loss at Lehigh on Oct. 15.
The Greyhounds have won just once since Sept. 22 (1-2-2).
Baylee DeSmit leads Loyola and the Patriot League with 16 points this season off five goals and six assists.
Preseason Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year Paige Sim has played all but 25 minutes in goal this year, notching a 1.22 goals-against average and a .780 save percentage. Her eight shutouts paces the league.
Loyola Maryland was projected to finish fourth in the Patriot League, behind BU, after reaching the quarterfinal round last season with a 5-1-3 PL record.

SERIES HISTORY

Saturday marks the 12th all-time meeting between BU and Loyola Maryland in a series that began in 2009.
BU sports a 7-1-3 advantage in the rivalry, and has not lost in the last seven matches.
The Terriers have limited the Greyhounds to one goal in the last five matchups. The total scoring margin is 17-5 in the Terriers' favor.
BU and Loyola Maryland drew 1-1 in last year's meeting on Oct. 23, 2021 in Boston.
DeSmit broke the ice in the 30th minute, but Fagan responded in the 36th minute to knot the match.
