Men's Tennis Competes at Two Fall Events over Weekend

October 23, 2022

WALTHAM, Mass. and HANOVER, N.H. – The Boston University men's tennis team continued the fall schedule by sending a pair of Terriers to the three-day Dartmouth Invitational and the rest of the squad to Bentley for a series of matches.

Sophomore Dion Loutas led the way by collecting a pair of singles wins in New Hampshire against competitors from Brown and Middlebury. He also teamed with freshman Aljenadro Licea for wins over Middlebury (9-8) and Williams (8-6). Another tandem from Williams prevented the Terrier duo from claiming a weekend sweep with an 8-6 decision.

At Bentley, the Terriers won all five singles matches with junior Johann Sajonz, junior Ben Letzer, junior Jose Maria Robalino and sophomore Gabe Brown all winning in straight sets. Junior Owen Voigt completed the sweep by winning his tiebreaker for the 6-1, 4-6, 10-7 victory. The two squads split in doubles with Robalino and Letzer posting a 6-1 victory.

BU will next compete at Harvard's Crimson Halloween Invite on Oct. 28-30.
