ALLSTON, Mass. – Highlighted by freshman Alejandro Licea's perfect singles performance, the Boston University men's tennis team continued the fall schedule at the Crimson Halloween Invite over the weekend at Harvard's Murr Center.

Licea was joined by classmate Corey Craig, junior Jonah Dickson and sophomore Dion Loutas in facing competitors from Harvard, Brown and Dartmouth. Licea went 3-0 in singles while adding a doubles victory with Loutas. Craig posted a singles victory and earned a doubles win alongside Dickson.

In singles, Licea first rallied from a set down to defeat Harvard's David Arkow in a super tiebreaker for the 1-6, 6-3, 10-6 win. He then won a second tiebreaker in a tightly-contested 7-6(4), 4-6, 10-7 decision with Brown's five-star recruit, Noah Hernandez, and lastly cruised in the final match to a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Dartmouth's Hikaru Takeda, who was a member of the nation's No. 24 recruiting class in 2021 and a previous Tokyo Junior Tennis Championship U18 winner.

Craig won in straight sets against Brown's Oliver Worth, a former five-star recruit, in a 6-1, 7-5 victory and came up just short to Harvard's former blue-chipper, David Lins (6-2, 4-6, 10-3), and Dartmouth's five-star recruit, Waleed Qadir (6-7, 6-4, 10-8) in a pair of super tiebreakers.

In doubles, Licea and Loutas posted a 7-6(8) win against Brown, while Craig and Dickson claimed a 7-6(4) victory over Dartmouth.

The Terriers will wrap up the fall slate at the Bryant Invitational on Nov. 5-6.
