BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Competing in the final weekend of the regular season, the Boston University men's tennis team fell to Army West Point, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon at Lehigh's Ulrich Varsity Tennis Courts.
The Black Knights (16-12, 5-1 PL) prevailed late in the No. 2 and 3 doubles matches for the first point before claiming three singles points to defeat the Terriers (3-16, 2-3 PL).
In doubles, sophomore
Johann Sajonz and freshman
Adrian Pawlowski were ahead, 6-5, in the top slot when their match was halted after Army pulled out a 7-5 decision at line 2 and 6-4 at line 3.
Sophomore
Ben Letzer won the most games in singles action and was on the verge of forcing a third set when play was halted down 6-3, 4-5, at line 6. Freshman
Gabe Brown was also ahead in the second set, 5-4, in the No. 3 slot.
The Terriers will next face Lehigh on Sunday (April 17) at 10 a.m.
