BOSTON - Thanks to nine unique goal scorers, the Boston University women's lacrosse team (2-0, 0-0 PL) cruised past Stonehill (0-1, 0-0 NEC) 20-9 Wednesday evening. Four Terriers earned hat tricks and junior
Reilly Agres made six saves in goal to propel the Terriers to the win.

Claire Gola all scored at least three goals in the evening matchup. Gola led the Terriers with four goals of her own, including two back-to-back in the fourth quarter.Â
BU netted three of its goals off the free position thanks to Spaeth, MacMaster and sophomore
Libby Carbo. The Terriers also led in draw controls with 20 as a team, 12 of which came from senior Jen Barry.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Just 31 seconds into the opening period, Barry took a pass from senior Lauren Kaye and netted a goal to open the scoring.
- Shortly thereafter, Carbo scored off the free position attempt to build a 2-0 lead.
- Kaye extended BU's goal total to three with 9:48 to go in the first.
- Stonehill took a timeout and registered a draw control when play resumed. This opened a chance that resulted in Stonehill's first goal of the game.
- With 6:58 and 6:22 remaining in the first quarter, sophomores Hannah Tillier and Spaeth scored the fourth and fifth goals of the game, respectively.Â
- Spaeth scored again over a minute later on a free position chance.
- MacMaster turned in netted another goal with 1:18 to go in the first to close out the scoring in the opening quarter. Barry assisted on the goal.
- Early in the second quarter, Feeney grabbed her first goal. Kaye followed that up minutes later and BU was ahead 9-1.
- Feeney got some help from MacMaster and scored again with 9:24 to go in the half, sending BU into double digits.
- After seven unanswered goals, Stonehill scored a little over midway through the second quarter.
- This sent the momentum to the Skyhawks who went on to score three additional goals before the Terriers could answer.
- With 1:50 to go in the half, Gola netted her first of the night with help from Spaeth.
- Feeney would score one more time before the half with 39 seconds remaining to complete her hat trick.
- Carbo found MacMaster with two seconds left to help BU go up 13-5 headed into the half.
- The second half started much like the first with Spaeth scoring 32 seconds into the quarter.
- Stonehill grabbed another goal a few minutes later, but the Terriers got on the board again as Barry assisted Gola on her third of the night.
- Soon after, MacMaster scored off a free position to give BU the 16-6 lead and push the clock to running time.Â
- The Skyhawks cut BU's lead to nine again with a goal at 5:03 in the third quarter, but the Terriers went back to a 10-goal lead thanks to sophomore Abby Cotraro who was helped by MacMaster.
- Stonehill registered the last goal of the third and the first goal of the fourth to close out its scoring with nine total goals.
- With 11:39 and 10:41 to go in the game, Gola scored both times to build BU's lead back up to 10 goals. She was helped by Kaye and Carbo, respectively.
- In the final five minutes of the game, Barry registered the final goal of the night thanks to an assist by Carbo as BU closed out the win, 20-9.

- BU went three-for-three on free position shots from three different scorers.
- Barry registered the most draw controls for BU for the second game this season with 12, bringing her season total to 23.
- MacMaster led the Terriers in points with five.
- Senior Quinn Ferry and Agres tied for number of ground balls with three each.
- On defense, grad student Maggie Lohrer caused three turnovers.
