BETHLEHEM, Pa. – In a battle of unbeaten Patriot League squads, the Boston University softball team rolled to a doubleheader sweep at Lehigh to capture its fifth straight conference title Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers (48-7, 17-0 PL) scored four runs over the last three innings for a 5-1 game one win and then tallied four runs over the first two innings in the second contest to claim a 9-2 victory against the Mountain Hawks (38-12, 15-2 PL). With the sweep, BU extended its win streak to a program and PL record 28 straight victories, the second longest active streak nationally, while also boasting the nation's longest active road win streak at 16 contests.

Kayla Roncin and senior
Audrey Sellers collected four hits apiece in the doubleheader with Roncin tabulating a pair of homers and tying graduate student
Emily Gant at four RBIs apiece. Sellers was one of four Terriers to earn a double, as BU posted a 20-8 advantage in hits and 7-2 lead in extra-base hits.

Allison Boaz (22-4) held Lehigh to just four hits with the help of four strikeouts against one allowed run. Freshman
Kasey Ricard (19-2) followed up with nine strikeouts in her own complete game performance against a two-run homer.
GAME 1: BU - 5, Lehigh - 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Junior Lauren Keleher led off with a walk to help set up Gant's two-out RBI single for the early 1-0 lead.
- The Mountain Hawks tied the game in the bottom of the second by earning a one-out double and taking advantage of indecisiveness in the infield with an RBI grounder.
- The Terriers stranded Sellers at second in the third following her double and left the bases loaded in the fourth.
- Boaz retired seven straight Mountain Hawks to keep the game at 1-1 entering the fifth.
- After Keleher was hit by a pitch leading off, Gant delivered a two-out, two-RBI homer to right to grab the lead for good, 3-1.
- Boaz followed with two strikeouts, and freshman Brooke Deppiesse extended the lead to 4-1 in the sixth with a lead-off single to right and run scored on Sellers' two-out RBI single.
- Lehigh earned a pair of singles in the sixth, including one with two outs, before Boaz ended the threat with a ground out.
- Roncin helped put the game away by hitting a lead-off homer in the top of the seventh and then turned a 1-6-3 double play in the bottom half.
GAME 2: BU - 9, Lehigh - 2
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Terriers loaded the bases on Keleher's lead-off walk and back-to-back singles from Roncin and senior Caitlin Coker.
- Gant plated the first run with a mishandled grounder, and Deppiesse added an RBI sac fly.
- Ricard then tallied two strikeouts to keep the lead at 2-0 entering the second.
- Sellers earned a one-out single to help set up Roncin's two-run homer for the 4-0 advantage in the second.
- The Terriers extended the lead to 6-0 in the fourth off three hits, including back-to-back RBI singles from Roncin and Coker.
- After Ricard earned two more strikeouts in the fifth, Keleher delivered an RBI double for a 7-0 lead.
- Lehigh avoided the shutout with a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth, but BU scored two runs in the seventh on back-to-back RBI doubles from junior Kate Pryor and graduate student Nicole Amodio.
- Ricard finished off Lehigh with two more strikeouts.

- BU will wrap up the regular season at Lehigh on Sunday (May 7) with a 12 p.m. first pitch.
