Eiserman Named Hockey East Rookie of the Month
October 31, 2024 | Men's Ice Hockey
No other freshman in Hockey East scored more goals in October than Eiserman, who lit the lamp four times in addition to adding an assist for five points in five games. Two of Eiserman's four goals came during the Terriers' lone league contest of the season, a 4-2 win over UConn in which Eiserman tallied the game-winning goal. Thanks in part to Eiserman's early success, the fifth-ranked Terriers are off to a 4-1-0 start.
Eiserman was just the second Terrier since at least 2002-03 to score four goals in his first three collegiate games; Shane Bowers also notched four goals in his first three games as a Terrier during the 2017-18 season. Since at least 2002-03, only six Hockey East skaters have achieved that feat.
This is the third straight year that a Terrier freshman has earned a monthly award in October; Macklin Celebrini was the Hockey East Player of the Month and the National Rookie of the Month in October 2023 while Lane Hutson was the Hockey East Defender of the Month in October 2022.
BU will continue its season this weekend when the Terriers welcome No. 11 Michigan to Agganis Arena for a pair of games. Puck drop on both Friday (Nov. 1) and Saturday (Nov. 2) is scheduled for 7 p.m.
