HOW IT HAPPENED
  • A pair of three-pointers from Giannaros sandwiched Gormley's own triple to put BU on top 9-4 halfway through the first quarter.
  • Freshman Hildur Gunnsteinsdóttir nailed her own three, then a layup from sophomore Bella McLaughlin staked the Terriers to a 14-7 edge after 10 minutes.
  • The Terriers went to work down low to open the second quarter, as Schwertner, sophomore Sisi Bentley and freshman Inez Gallegos cashed in layups, and Giannaros sank an 8-foot jump shot to increase BU's lead to 23-9.
  • Gallegos converted another layup before BU's offense was halted over the second quarter's final 3:10, leading to a 25-16 halftime score.
  • Each side ignited the second half with three baskets in the first 2:31 of the third frame, as Schwertner accounted for all six Terrier points in that span.
  • A Giannaros three ignited an 18-0 run for BU that stretched over three minutes. Schwertner contributed seven points in that stretch to help BU gain a 49-22 advantage.
  • Leading 52-28 heading into the fourth quarter, BU opened the stanza on a 9-0 burst. Gormley scored the first four points, while sophomore Audrey Ericksen drained a three-pointer from the wing.
  • Kaitlyn Bartash halted the run with a layup, but Ericksen responded with a three off Gormley's ninth assist of the night to make it 64-30 with 4:54 remaining in regulation.
  • The largest lead of the night, 36 points at 71-35, arrived with freshman Brooke Baisley's layup in the final minute.
