BOSTON – The Boston University women's basketball program renews an old America East rivalry when it travels to UNH on Saturday (Nov. 16). Opening tip from Lundholm Gymnasium is set for 6 p.m.
 
BU (1-1) will square off against the first of four America East foes this season, eventually taking on Maine, UAlbany, and UMass Lowell. The Terriers seek their first road win on the year.
 
New Hampshire (3-1) has won two of its three contests against Division I opponents this year. Saturday marks the Wildcats' first home contest since its season opener against Worcester State on Nov. 4.
 
TERRIER TIDBITS
	- BU last played on Tuesday (Nov. 12), defeating local Division III foe Emmanuel, 71-38, in an exhibition contest that did not count towards the Terriers' season results or statistics.
 
	- Prior to that, BU fell to No. 2 UConn in Hartford, Conn., 86-32.
 
	- In the victory over the Saints, freshman Allison Schwertner knocked down eight of her 11 shots for a team-high 17 points, tallying 13 points in the third quarter.
 
	- Sophomore Aoibhe Gormley added seven points, nine assists and five rebounds.
 
	- Senior Alex Giannaros' next point will mark the 1,000th in her career, becoming the 27th Terrier in program history to achieve that feat.
 
	- She is also two three-pointers away from matching BU's all-time leading scorer, Katie Terhune '04 for sixth place in the Terrier record books.
 
	- As of Nov. 14, Giannaros' four triples per game ranks ninth in Division I.
 
	- In the first two games of the season, Schwertner and classmate Inez Gallegos have appeared in the starting lineup. This marks back-to-back seasons that two freshmen have started the first two games on the year.
 
	- So far, BU is averaging eight offensive rebounds per game. 
 
SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIRE
	- UNH is 3-1 on the season, most recently dispatching Northeastern 48-31.
 
	- BU and New Hampshire have six common opponents in their schedules this year: Northeastern, Holy Cross, Army West Point, UAlbany, UMass Lowell, and Maine.
 
	- Eva DeChent is the Wildcats' leading scorer at 15.5 points per game on 41.5 percent shooting.
 
	- UNH has used the same starting lineup in all four contests, averaging a combined 39.6 points of the Wildcats' 59.5 points per game.
 
	- New Hampshire was projected to finish ninth out of nine teams in the America East preseason poll under first-year head coach Megan Shoniker.
 
	- The Wildcats went 9-20 last year, including 3-13 in conference play. 
 
THE SERIES
	- Saturday marks the 79th all-time meeting between BU and UNH in a series that began in 1978.
 
	- The Terriers sport a 45-33 advantage.
 
	- BU has won five in a row against New Hampshire, with an average margin of victory of 18.6 points.
 
	- On the road, the Terriers are 21-17, most recently taking down the Wildcats 78-42 at Lundholm Gymnasium on Nov. 27, 2022.
 
	- In last year's contest, BU was victorious at home, 56-47. Giannaros paced the team with 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting as BU shot 50 percent from the field in the second half.
