BOSTON - The Boston University swimming & diving teams opened competition at the Boston Winter Open on Friday with 10 visiting teams at the FitRec Competition Pool.

Junior Ella Erickson won the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:07.72 while senior Blythe Brenner led a pack of Terriers in the 50-yard freestyle with a sixth-place finish (24.08).

In the men's 50-yard freestyle, freshman David Kohan led six BU swimmers, placing tied for 12th in a time of 21.69 seconds.

The final day of the Boston Winter Open will take place on Saturday (Feb. 10) with sessions taking place at noon and 6 p.m.
