PALM CITY, Fla. - The Boston University women's golf team kicked off its spring schedule on Sunday at the opening round of the Advanced Golf Partners Collegiate at Hammond Creek Golf Club. The Terriers posted a 9-over 297 and are currently tied for fourth in the 14-team field.
Junior
Christy Chen led BU with an even-par 72 and will enter Monday's second round in a tie for fifth place. Classmate
Meiqi Gao shot a 2-over 74 and sophomore
Annika Manjunath was right behind with a 75. In her collegiate debut,
Amy Han posted a 76 for the Terriers' fourth score.
Playing as an individual, freshman
Hibiki Adachi recorded a 74 while freshman
Madison Takai and junior
Victoria Takai shot an 80 and 82, respectively.
BU is tied with UAB for fourth and is just seven strokes behind leader Morehead State.
The second round will start on Monday (Feb. 12) at 7:30 a.m.
