ALLSTON, Mass. – Facing its first nationally ranked opponent, the Boston University men's tennis team fell at No. 6 Harvard, 7-0, on Thursday night.
The Crimson (10-4) won two doubles matches by a combined score of 12-1 for the first point and then claimed all six singles points in straight sets to remain unbeaten at home with an 8-0 mark.
In doubles play, senior
Jose Maria Robalino and junior
Adrian Pawlowski won the most games with two in the No. 2 slot when their match was halted facing a 4-2 deficit.
During singles action, junior
Cole Knutsen won the most games at eight total in a 7-5, 6-3 loss on court No. 6. Freshman
Gustavs Dambins won the second most at seven total.
Recipient of the last four Patriot League Player of the Week awards, sophomore
Corey Craig came up short in the top slot to the Crimson, 6-2, 6-1, for his first loss of 2024 after starting the dual season at 12-0.
The Terriers will take the next week off and then head to California for four matches on March 12-15. They will start off at UC Riverside on Tuesday, March 12, with doubles set to begin at 1 p.m. ET.
