Christy Chen of the Boston University women's golf team is tied for the lead after the opening day of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill Resort's River Course. Sophomore
Annika Manjunath is tied for fourth and the team is tied for second among 10 schools.
The Terriers are plus-51 after the 36-hole opening tie and are 10 strokes behind leader Penn. Sacred Heart is tied with BU and they are 10 shots ahead of fourth-place Radford.
Chen opened Monday with a 1-over 73 and added a 76 in the second round to finish the day at plus-5, tying her with William & Mary's Mary Grace Dunigan for the lead heading into Tuesday's final round.
After posting a 78 in the first round, Manjunath recorded a 73 in the second, including four birdies, to post a plus-7 151 for the day. The sophomore is playing the tournament as an individual.

Meiqi Gao and freshman
Amy Han each posted a 77 in round two after both shooting an 82 in the morning. They are tied for 17th at plus-15.
Junior
Victoria Takai had BU's second-best round in the morning with an 80 and then added another 80 in round two. She'll enter the final day in 22nd at plus-16.
Freshman
Hibiki Adachi posted an 84-83--167 (+23) on Monday and sits in 36th in the 58-player field.
Tuesday's final round will begin at 8:45 a.m.
